The dB’s return with Cycles Per Second: US Tour 2024, their first-ever live album, captured during the original quartet’s 2024 U.S. tour. Featuring Peter Holsapple, Chris Stamey, Will Rigby, and Gene Holder, joined by keyboardist Wes Lachot, the album documents the band performing with the spark, precision, and melodic energy that made them one of the essential American power-pop bands of the post-punk era.
Our label’s 2024 reissues of Stands for deciBels and Repercussion helped bring renewed attention to The dB’s, giving longtime fans a reason to celebrate and new listeners a fresh chance to hear why the band’s influence has endured. That momentum carried into a U.S. tour that felt less like nostalgia and more like a true revival, with the songs opening up onstage and the band rediscovering the joy and chemistry at the heart of their sound.
Originally issued as a 13-song “highlights” Record Store Day 2026 exclusive splatter vinyl release, Cycles Per Second: US Tour 2024 is now available as an expanded 22-track CD and digital edition, curated and mixed by Chris Stamey. The vinyl edition has been discontinued, and the copies available from our website are the last remaining copies from the limited RSD splatter vinyl pressing.
